Spanish gambling operator Grupo Codere (Codere) has launched its dedicated Mexican sports betting website Codere.mx, as the restructured operator continues to expand its services within Latin America.
Through its strategic partnership with leisure operator Grupo Caliente, Codere is Mexico’s biggest gambling operator servicing 84 gaming establishments. Furthermore, the gambling group has a reported 70 betting points within the provinces of Mexico City, Veracruz, Monterey and Cuernavaca.
Having secured a Mexican online betting licence, Spanish business news sources report that Codere governance views the Mexican online betting market as having the best potential for accelerated growth of the Latin American markets.
Launching its online betting services for the Mexican market, Codere will leverage its official betting partnership of Real Madrid FC (signed November 2016), a popular European football club with Mexican football fans as the operator begins to promote its services.
In 2016, Codere undertook a digital revamp of its flagship Spanish website Codere Apuestas (Codere.es) announcing the launch of its new online sports betting platform, online casino and website redesign.
In its latest corporate update, Codere governance stated to investors that the company seeks to grow its services away from its home market of Spain, investing in Argentina, Mexico and Italy.
