Continuing its broadcast partnership with Meydan Racing Course Dubai, Racecourse Media Group (RMG) will showcase the $30 million Dubai World Cup (Saturday 25 March), the racing fixture referred to as the ‘world’s richest race day’.

Updating the market, RMG informs that this year’s Dubai World Cup will be made available to ‘over one billion homes’. The racing content specialist is set to provide Meydan’s premier race fixture to over 150 territories.

Brokering media rights deals on behalf of racetrack owners Meyden Group, RMG has been able to showcase coverage of this year’s Dubai World Cup via international content partners such as NBC Sports (US), Eurosport (UK), ITV Sports (UK),  DSport (India), Sina (China), Arena Sports (Balkans), Fuji TV (Japan) and MENA network (Dubai and Middle East).

Adam Binns Director of Broadcast and Production at RMG, stated “A record number of broadcasters are showing this year’s Dubai World Cup fixture, as befits a significant global sporting event such as this.

“Horses from a dozen countries are set to be represented, along with some of the most famous owners, jockeys, trainers and breeders, in what will be a thrilling spectacle.”

Coming into Saturday’s race day, nearly all debate has centred on whether American champion stud winner of the Breeders Classic and Pegasus World Cup, can land the $6 million first prize for the Dubai World Cup.
