UK independent bookmaker Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) is preparing for the next phase of its international expansion, as the operator looks for new talent to join its Munich office for the launch of new asset ‘Sky Bet Deutschland’.
Updating the market, SB&G CEO Richard Flint detailed that the bookmaker was recruiting a number German focused employees to be managed by Sky Bet Deutschland Managing Director Jochen Weiner.
SB&G detailed that it seeks four Munich-based roles in the marketing and legal teams, nine German-speaking contact centre positions and a possible four new technology roles who will work with the rest of the 50 strong international team in Sheffield.
“We are really excited about the opportunity available within the German market. These new hires will allow us to press ahead with our plans to launch there later this year. The fact that we are in a position to do so, so soon after looking into the market, is a testament to our international team and the positive relationship they have developed with Sky Deutschland.” Flint commented
Last September SB&G confirmed its new market expansion into Germany, appointing former Scientific Games and Bwin executive Jochen Weiner as Managing Director. Commenting on SB&G’s German market plans, Weiner stated
“Since joining I’ve been impressed with the way colleagues have pulled together to get us ready to launch a real money product so quickly. There is clearly a healthy market in Germany and we look forward to entering it soon.”
