Ladbrokes long-term media man David Williams resigns

David Williams long-term Media Relations Director of Ladbrokes has confirmed via business network Linkedin that he has departed the bookmaker.

Williams leaves Ladbrokes operations following thirteen years of service, leading a number of roles within the bookmaker’s communications, media and PR teams.

In his Linkedin statement, Williams detailed that he would assist the bookmaker until the end of June, further adding that he had helped the enlarged Ladbrokes Coral Group with its transition relating to corporate communications.

“I’ve enjoyed a hugely rewarding time with the firm, having arrived on the graduate scheme in 2004. During those years I’ve valued the support of some outstanding colleagues and made some first-class friends who encouraged and allowed me to work in a wonderful industry.” Williams stated

“Heading up the PR charge with Ladbrokes was a real privilege but it now feels like a perfect time to explore new opportunities. Working to ensure the Ladbrokes brand was celebrated and recognised throughout consumer media and corporate comms has been wonderful, and I’m proud of the role I played in helping to lead the business through some challenging and exciting times over the years.”

Closing his statement, Williams detailed that he would take time out of the betting and gaming sector, assessing his future options.
