Portugal’s Estoril Sol expands Gaming1 joint-venture launching new sports betting product

Updating the market, Estoril Sol Portugal’s largest land-based gaming group has informed that it will launch its new sports betting product utilising Gaming1 ‘full-scalability’ platform provisions.

The partnership sees Estoril Sol expand its existing digital services agreement with Gaming1 to include sports betting provisions which have been launched under the newly rebranded ESCONLINE.pt website.

Last year saw the launch of Estoril Sol and Gaming1 joint-venture EstorilSolCasinos.pt for the regulated Portugese online gambling market.

Rui Magalhães, CEO of Estoril Sol Digital, commented on the partnership: “Since moving online, we’ve enjoyed great success and the next logical step for us was to bolster our offering with sports betting.

“By combining our knowledge of the Portuguese market, along with GAMING1’s state-of-the-art technology and online sportsbook expertise, we were more than confident to offer sports betting to our players.”

Detailing provisions, Gaming1 management stated that the ESCONLINE.pt platform had been tailor made for the Portuguese market, adding its ‘Opti-odds’ services which ‘is designed to mitigate the effect of high taxation within the Portuguese market’.

An excited Sylvain Boniver, CEO of GAMING1, commented on the joint-venture expansion: “Following the success of launching Portugal’s first ever online licenced casino last year, we’re thrilled to have boosted Estoril Sol’s online offering with the addition of sports betting for the first time.

“The launch of our sportsbook underlines the position of GAMING1 as an all-round partner and not just a provider. Our joint venture provides a win-win situation for both parties as we share the investment, risks, and profits, as well as bringing the two companies closer together to achieve the same goal. Our innovative Opti-odds feature will provide Esconline.pt with a competitive edge, offering the best odds in the Portuguese market.”
