Stockholm-listed European online gambling group Betsson AB has this afternoon confirmed the departure of Ulrik Bengtsson as Group President & CEO.
Updating corporate stakeholders, Betsson informed that Bengtsson had chosen to leave the leadership position with immediate effect.
Betsson governance informs that moving forward CEO duties will be filled by Chairman of the Board Pontus Lindwall on an interim basis until the successor of Bengtsson is officially appointed.
The duties of Chairmanship will be assumed by senior board member Patrick Svensk until further notice.
Ulrik Bengtsson had been appointed Chief Executive of Betsson AB in March 2016, having previously served in the executive position of CEO of Betsson Malta.
“Ulrik Bengtsson has done a good job for Betsson during the five years he has been employed by the Group. He has clarified the strategy and implemented significant product launches. On behalf of the Board and myself, I would like to thank Ulrik for his efforts,” commented Pontus Lindwall, on the corporate update notifying Bengtsson departure
