Updating the market, European daily fantasy sports operator Sportito has informed that it has secured a Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) ‘Online Gambling Licence’, allowing to further its international expansion.
Having gained Malta MGA approval, Sportito confirms that it will now push to launch its DFS services for the German market. Sportito expands its European licensing provisions, which further includes a UK Gambling Commission operator licence secured in 2016.
Following its initial launch within the UK market, in which ‘fast growth’ Sportito has recorded a ‘211% YoY growth’ in players engaging with its DFS services, the operator now looks for fresh ground to expand.
Seeking to innovate the fantasy sports market, Sportito offers quick DFS tournaments with daily cash prizes. Furthermore, its competitions are free from the salary cap restrictions, allowing users to choose the top players without having to worry about the budget.
“Fantasy sports is growing really fast in the Europe and Sportito aims to be the number one platform with the best experience ever,” A pleased Riccardo Mittiga CEO of Sportito commented.
Speaking to industry media, Mittiga details that the MGA approval is a major milestone for Sportito operations, adding that his firm has now gained the potential to reach approximately 40 million European players, as Sportito studies further markets for expansion.
