Luckbox appoints Quentin Martin as first operations lead

Esports betting start-up Luckbox has confirmed the appointment of its first operations lead, hiring PokerStars’ Quentin Martin as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Seeking to launch its initial proprietary esports betting platform this 2018, Martin will be the key stakeholder in developing Luckbox’s operational framework supporting the firm’s future scale.

Furthermore, Luckbox management detailed that Martin would lead the firm’s recruitment initiatives during Luckbox’s early start-up phase.

“As a scale-up COO, my role is incredibly flexible and tough to define – essentially, everything that isn’t product, marketing, or finance based”. Quentin Martin commented on joining Luckbox.

“I’m here to flesh out the rest of the organisation as and when we need new teams and to make sure we stay on track operationally. The job description could most accurately be described as ‘get stuff done!’.

A seasoned industry executive, Martin joins Luckbox’s senior management team from PokerStars, where he most recently served as Head of Social Gaming (2014-2018).

During his time at PokerStars, Martin has previously worked with Luckbox co-founders, Lars Lien and Mike Stevens.

Preparing to make its debut in 2018, new industry incumbent Luckbox seeks to become the leading mass market bookmaker for esports enthusiast.

“Luckbox is perfectly poised to create something big and I’m excited to be on board early and be a part of shaping our future,” Martin adds.
