Irrespective of the original projections, analysts estimate that Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR)  is forging ahead to reach about 17-19 percent growth.

Though GGR in Macau is an ever-changing figure it tends to be on the up. And the month of March won’t be an exception as analysts have projected, it is on the way to reach a 17-19 percent growth, despite lower projections prior to a few weeks.

With just four days left in March, GGR is set to reach nearly €2.46 billion, representing an escalation of almost 20 percent, evaluates the analysts. The projection is way higher than that which was revealed earlier this month by brokerage Sanford Bernstein, which put March’s GGR at a nine to twelve percent growth with a lower performance by Macau casinos.

Last week, ADR reached €91.6 million and hiked around 30 percent consecutively.

According to the analysts, this reflects increased foot traffic as a result of junket organised spring parties. That is why they are suggesting that the original projections are set to be exceeded, as GGR may actually be closer to 20 percent up in comparison to 2017 instead of only around 10 percent.
