All Change… Inspired announces sweeping leadership restructure

Lorne Weil

Nasdaq-listed industry virtual sports content supplier Inspired Entertainment has announced a major restructure to its senior executive leadership team, confirming the departure of Luke Alvarez as Group Chief Executive Officer.

In its update,  Inspired governance announces that it has created ‘Office of the Executive Chairman’, consisting of Group Executive Chairman Lorne Weil, with the support of VP & Chief Strategy Officer Daniel Silvers, group CFO Stewart Baker and new Chief Operating Officer Brooks Pierce who joined the firm in March.

The executive office will split the leadership responsibilities of Luke Alvarez, which will now oversee the executing of the firm’s day-to-day operations of Inspired’s enterprise and guiding strategy.

Supporting its decision, Inspired governance has redeveloped Brooks Pierce role from acting VP for North America, to group operations lead.

Furthermore, Stewart Baker will see his CFO duties expanded, being promoted as a company Executive Vice President.

Updating investors, Lorne Weil commented on the leadership restructure:  “I am grateful to Luke for his leadership of Inspired since its founding and during its rapid growth in its inaugural year and a half as a public company. We will miss him, and we wish him every success”.

“The Inspired Board adds its thanks and best wishes. Mr Alvarez’s previous responsibilities will be divided among the members of the Office of the Executive Chairman.”
