Yggdrasil Gaming expands Betsson deal

Yggdrasil Gaming has agreed a new comprehensive deal with Betsson, which will see entry to a number of key regulated markets, in addition to strengthening its strategic partnership with the operator.

Denmark, Italy, Spain and Latvia are a selection of the new regulated markets that the collaboration will extend to encapsulate, following the fresh agreement.

The first of those to go live is Italy, with Yggdrasil content now available courtesy of the Betsson brand starcasino.it.

Andy Broughton Braithwaite, Betsson Group, said: “Yggdrasil is a popular choice with our players across many countries and brands and their releases are of a consistently high quality, that’s why we see this as an important extension of an already successful partnership.”

The enhancement follows the announcement of Yggdrasil’s Q1 2018 results, which saw significant increases in both revenues and earnings.

Fredrik Elmqvist, Yggdrasil CEO, said: “Betsson was one of Yggdrasil’s very first customers when we signed a partnership back in 2014, and we have both gone from strength to strength in the years since.

“Given the increased scale of both businesses now operating across multiple jurisdictions, it made sense for us to update our partnership into something more comprehensive.

“This framework will ensure that the deep, strategic partnership between Yggdrasil and Betsson continues to flourish.”
