Finnplay expands deal with fast-growing FansBet network

Finnplay has expanded a deal to deliver betting entertainment for British football fans through sites operated by the FansBet network.

The Finland-based open gaming platform provider will be servicing a network of sports betting based fan sites, including Manchester United’s Redarmybet and Liverpool’s Redsbet.

The  network, which has grown over the last twelve months to nearly one hundred fan sites, partners with supporters to give back half of their profits to specific causes and initiatives, using accredited, trusted and respected committees to decide where to best utilise the money.

During the registration phase, new account holders on FansBet sites are asked to identify the club they support, while they can nominate a specific trust or supporter group to be the beneficiary of funds.

On a quarterly basis, the accrued net profit is communicated to the relevant groups, who then have the empowerment to use those funds to make a difference in areas that matter most.

Erkki Nikunen, Partner & CMO of Finnplay, said: “FansBet is an innovative and fresh approach to a sports betting brand.

“It is founded by a successful management team with years of sector experience, dedicated to putting the passion and loyalty of the ‘fan’ at the centre of the experience, to support their chosen club. We are therefore delighted that Finnplay is continuing to power the brand’s turnkey sports betting technology stack.”

Steve Armstrong, CEO of FansBet, added: “Finnplay allowed us to launch the licensed and regulated FansBet sports betting brand network very quickly, with Redarmybet, our Manchester United fan site, being live for some time. Their solution allows our business to offer an array of gaming products that today’s football and sports fans demand.

“As part of our continued network expansion strategy, we will continue to develop specific betting propositions for different fan-bases, and likewise, the fans can be assured of total transparency, with profits dispersed to supporter-driven causes.”
