Online betting exchange Smarkets, has confirmed to SBC that it has released the beta version of its upcoming ‘True-Price’ sportsbook app – ‘SBK’.
At present, SBK is the working title for its pending sportsbook, which is an app-only platform and uses the Smarkets exchange pricing with a simpler layout where selections can only be backed.
Furthermore, users will also be able to share tips and bets with their communities thanks to the innovative social elements applied to the SBK app.
SBK will be accessible to limited test users via an ‘invite only code’. Players can register for the beta app at getsbk.com
Entering 2018, Smarkets CEO & Founder Jason Trost disclosed to UK media that his company would be launching a sports betting product, leveraging best market prices from its betting exchange platform.
Updating the market, Trost commented on the beta launch of SBK: “I’m excited to get SBK out in the wild and have more people test it. Ideally, we want it in the hands of non-exchange users so we can gather feedback and make improvements before a full launch.
“I’m really proud of what the team has achieved in such a short space of time – the app is slick and with its prices coming from our exchange, it offers unrivalled value.”
