Luckia backs Galician development for start of new Spanish football season

Ahead of the start of La Liga’s new football season (17 August), Spanish bookmaker Luckia has outlined its commitment to developing and improving Galician football.

A subsidiary of Grupo EGASA, one of Galicia’s biggest employers, Luckia has launched its “A Xogada” project in partnership with the Galician Football Federation (RFG).

Starting with Spain’s football season for 2018/19 and beyond, Luckia will distribute part of its winnings taken from Galician football teams playing La Liga, Segunda and Segunda B back to the RFG.

Through the RFG partnership, A Xogada will redistribute money and resources to Galician grassroots football schemes, charities, and lower/amateur sides.

Presenting the community-focused scheme, José Alfredo González, Vice President of Luckia EGASA commented “A Xogada marks Luckia’s firm bet on Galician football’.

Further to its update, Luckia governance stated that it would use its Galician football network to support the RFG and A Xogada project initiatives.

This August, Luckia renewed its legacy partnership with Real Club Deportivo La Coruna, Galicia’s biggest football team until 2021.
