PBS boosts in-store engagement through Build-A-Bet component

Playtech’s sports betting technology subsidiary Playtech BGT Sports has enhanced its in-store player engagement capacities by launching a new Build-A-Bet component within its BetTracker app.

Launched in 2017, the BetTracker app allows client retail customers to place bets on SSBTs, whilst tracking their progress on mobile devices away from the shop.

An industry first, the BetTracker app would bring new cash-out betting functionalities to retail environments. Playtech BGT seeks to replicate the success and innovation releasing a Build-A-Bet component for retail customers.

The new Build-A-Bet feature will enable customers to compile and save selections into a betting slip on their device away from the shop for later placement at the terminal via a unique QR code.

Updating stakeholders, John Pettit Playtech BGT UK, Ireland, Asia and Australia Managing Director, details that the technology group has delivered another game changer to revamp retail.

“BetTracker is helping to change the face of retail betting,” he said. “It already has a large following among customers of our partners, and the ‘anytime, anywhere’ tool will further boost customer engagement and loyalty for both big and small retail operators.

“Bet placement will now be much quicker and more efficient, enabling more transactions and less bet processing time at the terminal.”

Moving forward, Playtech BFT customers will be able to add their own branding within the BetTracker product with options for Build-A-Bet to be integrated into their own apps.

“The addition of Build-A-Bet will make it even easier for customers to place bets at their own convenience and will be a popular addition for those who want the convenience of mobile combined with a physical retail experience.
