Andrew Thomas ends tenure as Playtech advisor

Further to publishing its full-year 2018 results, yesterday FTSE250 gambling technology group Playtech Plc confirmed the departure of Andrew Thomas as a corporate Independent Non-Executive Director.

A seasoned executive in corporate financing, taxation and UK leisure/entertainment commercial enterprise, Thomas has served as a Playtech governance advisor since 2012.

During his tenure as a Playtech Non-Executive Director, Thomas chaired the FTSE firm’s Audit Committee, overseeing the work and appointments of internal/external accountancy units.

Further board duties saw Thomas advised Playtech’s Remuneration Corporate Committee, Nominations Committee and Risk & Compliance Committee.

Updating investors, Alan Jackson, Playtech plc’s Chairman, said: “On behalf of the Board and everyone at Playtech I would like to thank Andrew for his hard work and dedication over the past seven years. Andrew has played an important role during Playtech’s formative years and help to lay the strategic foundations for future growth.”

During the course of 2018, Playtech moved to restructure its board and corporate advisory, appointing renowned industry executives Susan Ball and Ian Penrose as new Non-Executive advisors.
