The Stars Group appoints Anomaly as US market creative lead

Christopher Coyne – The Stars Group Inc

Toronto TSX-listed The Stars Group Inc has confirmed the appointment of New York and London based advertising agency Anomaly as lead creative account for its US business and flagship PokerStars property.

The Stars Group undertakes its appointment, following a competitive pitch, in which Anomaly is reported to have beaten London agencies’ Droga5 and McCann to win the creative account.

Anomaly’s remit will see the agency work on developing creative concepts and strategies for the Stars Group US properties, including PokerStars newly announced partnership with the UFC.

Confirming Anomaly as lead creative agency Christopher Coyne, Chief Marketing Officer at Stars Interactive Group, stated – “Anomaly blew the doors off with their creative pitch. This is the beginning of something brand new for our brands. We can’t wait to show off the results.”

In 2019, an enlarged Stars Group has moved to review its entire global marketing operations, having absorbed the assets of Sky Betting & Gaming (Sky Bet), and further forming Australian online bookmaker ‘BetEasy’ combining its new assets CrownBet and William Hill Australia.
