Paf CRO Daniela Johansson wins SPER’s Swedish leader of the year

Daniela Johansson, Chief Responsibility Officer (CRO) and Deputy CEO of Paf, has been recognised as a ‘Leader of the Year’ by Swedish gambling association SPER.

Yesterday, SPER announced the three winners of its inaugural ‘Swedish Gambling Awards’, which rewarded the individuals and companies that have improved standards and championed sustainability for Sweden’s new gambling marketplace.

Spearheading Paf’s mandatory deposit limit scheme and transparent customer care programme, SPER awarded Johansson as Swedish gambling’s leader of the year.

SPER branded Johansson as a role model for industry leadership, who was ‘unafraid to tackle uncomfortable truths’ in order to promote ‘operator transparency and improve all-round standards’.

Having undertaken sweeping changes to its customer care programme, including implementing a series of industry-first safeguards, SPER awarded Paf as Swedish gambling’s ‘Sustainable Operator of the Year’.

SPER judges stated that Paf had ‘led the way in improving industry standards’, working directly against problem gambling and taking on ‘initiatives few would dare to show’.

Meanwhile, Betsson AB won SPER’s ‘Customer Satisfaction Award’, with judges praising the multi-brand operator’s revamped 24/7 customer service programme as the industry’s best at meeting changing compliance and customer demands.

Thomas Nilsson, chairman of the Swedish Gambling Awards, said: “We received very interesting contenders this year and it was a long jury process. The winners have started from a concrete problem, listened to customers and the market and found solutions.”
