Esports Entertainment appoints Jeff Cohen as IR lead
The newly formed Esports Entertainment Group has strengthened its executive leadership ranks after confirming the appointment of Jeff Cohen as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Investor Relations.
A seasoned Wall Street executive, Cohen is the former equity analyst lead for private investment fund Stephens Inc, covering esports, gaming and further entertainment sectors.
Cohen has maintained further IR experience having served as a lead equity specialist for Barclays’ investment banking division.
Updating investors, Grant Johnson CEO Esports Entertainment, branded Cohen as a vital hire for the firm’s next stage of growth, having become the first igaming start-up to list on the New York Nasdaq Exchange this June.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff to our team,” commented Johnson. “He’s been a leading analyst in the gaming and esports arena, and his wealth of knowledge and relationships with major buyside players are great assets for us as we continue to execute on our growth strategy.”
In July, Esports Entertainment acquired the assets of Argyll Entertainment, the operating company of online sportsbook sportnation.bet, securing its sportsbook foundation for future growth.
