Kambi takes full control of LeoVegas sportsbook portfolio

Kambi Group Plc has confirmed that it has secured an expanded client agreement with LeoVegas AB which will see it power sportsbook provisions for its BetUK and 21.co.uk subsidiary brands.

The contract expansion is secured as both parties agree terms on a new multi-year agreement. Kambi has served as lead sportsbook supplier to LeoVegas since 2016, helping the Stockholm-listed online gambling group launch its first sportsbook property.

Moving forward Kambi will act as lead sportsbook systems provider for all LeoVegas subsidiaries, a decision that sees BetUK and 21.co.uk brands migrated to Kambi’s open sportsbook platform.

Kristian Nylén, Kambi CEO, said: “We are proud to have agreed this partnership extension with LeoVegas, and that Kambi will now provide its sports betting services to the other popular brands in the LeoVegas group.

“Kambi is the partner operators can trust to provide the powerful sportsbook core and flexible technology they need to unlock their sports betting potential, and it is fantastic to have this recognised by an operator as highly regarded as LeoVegas.”

At the start of year, LeoVegas outlined that it would move to restructure the technology systems and operating structures of its Rocket X – UK online gambling unit which operates BetUK and 21.co.uk amongst its active portfolio.

Streamlining its UK operations, LeoVegas underlined that it would develop a combined  organisational structure for technology, products, customer service, marketing and compliance mirroring its single unit operations.

Mattias Wedar, Chief Product & Technology Officer at LeoVegas, said: “We are pleased to continue our sports betting journey with Kambi, a partnership which has brought about real success as we continue to deliver on our sports betting ambitions and becoming the King of Casino.”
