Genius Sports Group nets extension to Spanish ACB partnership

Genius Sports Group has confirmed an extension to its long-term exclusive betting data partnership with the Spanish ACB league.

As part of the extension, Genius Sports Group’s Betgenius division will gain the official rights to continue distributing real-time ACB data to its global network of licensed sportsbook operators

Commenting on the agreement, Sean Conroy, Commercial Director at Genius Sports, stated: “With several esteemed clubs including FC Barcelona Bàsquet and Real Madrid Baloncesto, ACB is globally regarded as one of the best, most competitive leagues in basketball.

“We’re proud to extend this partnership as their exclusive Official Data partner, providing continued investment and opportunities to engage new fans around the world.”

ACB recently launched its first rights enforcement programme in a bid to safeguard both the integrity and value of its official data.

As part of the extended partnership with Genius Sports Group, unauthorised data collectors will continue to be removed from ACB stadiums, therefore providing the league with control and visibility over how its live data is used, managed and distributed for betting.
