Sportradar renews Hero ISL integrity commitment

Sportradar has added a multi-year extension to its agreement with India’s premier football league, the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL).

Building on their original partnership, which was signed in 2016, Sportradar Integrity Services will monitor all matches using its Fraud Detection System (FDS) that identifies betting-related manipulation in sport.

The FDS utilises algorithms, a substantial database of information and expert analysts who help identify instances of match-fixing and sports corruption.

Sportradar Integrity Services’ Managing Director Andreas Krannich commented: “Hero ISL renewing its partnership with us only shows how committed they are towards maintaining integrity in the game and proactive towards the growth of football in the subcontinent.

“As a global leader in sporting integrity, we want to continue to provide our expertise and help protect the tournament against all integrity-related issues.”

Moreover, Sportradar will also provide the Hero ISL with access, as needed, to its specialist Intelligence & Investigation Services (I&I) to further their efforts to maintain sports integrity across the league.

Sportradar currently supplies its integrity services to some of the world’s biggest leagues and federations, including FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

This latest extension to its agreement with Hero ISL further expands Sportradar’s presence in India, having previously secured agreements with the Pro Kabaddi League as well as the Indian Premier League (IPL).
