BETDAQ announces 0% commission offer for Boxing Day
Ladbrokes-owned betting exchange BETDAQ plans to offer its customers a commission-free deal on all sports on Boxing Day.
BETDAQ traders will be entitled to 0% commission on a variety of top flight football fixtures, including the matchup between London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as the annual Boxing Day Test Match between Australia and India at the world famous Melbourne Cricket Ground.
In addition horse racings’ highly anticipated King George IV Chase at Kempton in Britain, Grade One meetings at Ireland’s Leopardstown and Limerick courses will also be included in the offer.
The Gibraltar-registered betting exchange usually charges a 2% commission on football, horse racing, greyhound racing and cricket, with all other sports charged 0%.
In an official statement, BETDAQ’s Head of Marketing Mark Harkin said: “We’re always striving to offer our customers the best product we can and as part of our drive to do that, we’ve made the decision to go commission-free on all sports on Boxing Day – one of the busiest days of the sporting year.
“With a jam-packed football fixture list as well as exceptional horse racing in both England and Ireland – and much more besides – there is something for all sports fans and it’s very exciting for us as a business to be 0% commission.”
BETDAQ was founded in 2000 by Irish businessman Dermot Desmond, was sold to Ladbrokes in 2013 for a reported €30 million.
The exchange became part of GVC Group – now known as Entain Plc – following the company’s purchase of Ladbrokes Coral in 2018 in a deal worth up to £40 billion.
