“Gamble Responsibly America” App launched by Entain plc
A new free app was launched by The Entain Foundation US, a non-profit organization dedicated to responsible gaming.
Funded by BetMGM’s parent company Entain plc, the “Gamble Responsibly America” App is now available in the App Store and Google Play Store.
The app is the first of its kind and features a series of educational resources and tools to help and support anyone facing potential issues with problem gambling. Registering on the platform is not needed and since the app is unbranded, the app is positioned entirely as an educative resource with no commercial benefit to both Entain and BetMGM.
The app is intended to extend information and services to underpin safe play as sports-betting and gaming expand across the U.S. The Entain Foundation already provides dedicated funding to research, extensive resources, and partners with organizations to ensure protection for consumers.
The free “Gamble Responsibly America” app is available in both English and Spanish language in an effort to reach out all to major communities in the U.S. The app will offer assets and information to help people gamble responsibly and provide guidance for those struggling. Furthermore, the app will help understand and recognize behavioral patterns or symptoms associated with problem gambling.
Features
Some important features of the app include:
Limits and Tools: The app informs people how they can regulate playing habits with functions like limiting deposits on a weekly basis or allotting a time-out.
Self-Assessment Quiz: Users of the app can take a quick self-assessment.
Gambling Diary: Individuals can regularly input notes about their gaming and betting choices.
Behavioral Callouts: Users can learn more about potentially harmful behaviors, or markers of concern. For example, frequency of play, failed deposits, multiple payment methods, and more.
LiveChat: A 24/7 live chat feature is available for individuals who require assistance. The live chat function within the app routes to the National Council on Problem Gambling’s live chatline, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Extensive Information and Resources: Lastly, the app provides a comprehensive list of additional information and assistance, videos on the importance of responsible gambling, and more.
