Philadelphia 76ers President of Business Operations, Chris Heck confirmed the collaboration:

“We are thrilled to launch a long-term partnership with such a progressive team at Crypto.com, a company that shares our drive for greatness.”

Heck also said that the partners are committed to drive change when it comes to the integration of cryptocurrencies in the global sports sector. The exchange acknowledges that sports is the ideal way to educate the (potential) mainstream investors on cryptocurrencies.

With the agreement inked, Crypto.com will also have its logo displayed on the left shoulder of all the team’s jerseys from October 21 onwards. Philadelphia will then play its fifth game of the season on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans

The partnership will furthermore include that all team jerseys sold in the NBA store and SixerShop.com will include the Crypto.com logo. In an effort to boost public awareness for Crypto.com, the brand will also be visible courtside on matchdays.

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Crypto.com Kris Marszalek said to be excited about his company becoming the first cryptocurrency exchange to be included in the starting five of an NBA:

“Together we’re going to create integrated experiences for fans everywhere; our patch and court integrations are just the beginning.”

For sports enthusiasts, it is hard to miss Crypto.com these days. The exchange has already signed hundred-million-dollar deals with Formula One racing and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Just recently the exchange became the official crypto partner of French top football club Paris Saint-Germain, the home of superstars Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe.
