Former WEF Executive to Lead the Crypto Council for Innovation Into the Next Decade(s)
Sheila Warren, a former World Economic Forum executive will be leading the Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI) as the new Chief Executive Officer.
In a press release on Monday, the Washington based lobbying group said that Warren will be responsible for leading the discussion of crypto on behalf of the CCI by communicating its benefits to policymakers and regulators.
Fred Ehrsam, co-founder and managing partner at Paradigm and CCI board member, said:
“We are excited for the organization’s next chapter under her leadership, demonstrating and communicating the transformational benefits of crypto to policymakers, regulators, and people around the globe.”
The CCI was founded in April 0f 2020 by industry executives from Block, Coinbase, Fidelity Digital Assets and Paradigm. Andreessen Horowitz is a board member of the group.
Noting that the next 18 months to 2 years will have a lasting effect on the crypto future, Warren told her Twitter audience:
“We’re in a critical moment for the crypto ecosystem” –> is actually an understatement. We haven’t seen a time like this in decades, when policy within a given jurisdiction was poised to attract or repel an entire industry. 3/ https://t.co/4IGbENimI9
