Dogecoin and Shiba Inu Payments Coming to AMC Theatres Soon
The world’s largest movie cinema chain, AMC Entertainment, will soon be accepting the two most popular meme cryptocurrencies, dogecoin (DOGE) and shiba inu (SHIB).
Late Monday evening, AMC’s Chief Executive Officer, Adam Aron, made the announcement on Twitter that his AMC Theatres will be accepting payments in cooperation with BitPay by March 19.
The CEO has been polling his Twitter audience extensively in the past month, asking their opinion on DOGE and SHIB. Towards the end of 2021 he hinted towards his cinema’s to soon be accepting the meme coins for payments.
AMC is already accepting Bitcoin and Ethereum payments.
