Two Japanese carmakers Nissan and Toyota have become the latest global business to enter the metaverse. A Nikkei Asia report reveals that Nissan has opened a virtual showroom while Toyota dabbled into the metaverse with virtual workspaces.

Toyota, the world’s largest car manufacturer in volume, started off by looking after its own people first. The company reportedly created virtual workstations for some departments and its subsidiaries. Employees can also take part in company meetings or chat with each other by using avatars

A Toyota representative said the past two years of Covid-19 restrictions have played a big role in its new venture”
