Coinbase Now Welcomes All Users to its NFT Marketplace

The world’s first publicly listed crypto exchange Coinbase (COIN) announced on Wednesday that it is releasing the beta version of its non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace to everyone.

Almost seven months after Coinbase unveiled the launch plans in October 2021, the NFT marketplace already started allowing a handful of users to try out the platform at the end of previous month.

In the debut week of its beta, the NFT marketplace saw just 900 transactions and 73 ETH (around $210,000) in sales. Nevertheless, Coinbase did not disclose the exact number of users that had been granted access to the platform.

Last month, the company’s vice president of product, Sanchan Saxena, said that Coinbase NFT will launch with zero-transaction fees for a limited time, aiming to take a decent bite of market leader OpenSea.
