PokerStars Announces 66 Tournaments in WCOOP Take 2 Starting November 5

PokerStars have announced the continuation of its tournament flagship series the 2022 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) after it got interrupted a month ago when “the gremlins arrived, and things had to slow down.”

Players can look forward to WCOOP Take 2 as it is called, starting on November 5 offering a schedule of 66 tournaments to be played over five days, with guaranteed prizes for the final take of the WCOOP of nearly $28 million.

The following WCOOP Main Events will start dealing cards on Sunday November 6:

WCOOP $109 NLHE Main Event Low – $3m guaranteed – increase of $500,000
WCOOP $1,050 NLHE Main Event Medium – $5m guaranteed – increase of $1m
WCOOP $10,300 NLHE Main Event High – World Championship of NLHE – $7m guaranteed – increase of $1m

WCOOP $109 PLO Main Event Low – $109 PLO, $250K Gtd
WCOOP $1,050 PLO Main Event Medium – $1,050 PLO, $600K Gtd
WCOOP $10,300 PLO Main Event High – $10,300 PLO World Championship of PLO, $1M Gtd

With $27,918,500 in guaranteed prizes to be handed out in the remaining events, PokerStars expects the completed WCOOP series to come up with more than $100 million in prizes for this year’s edition.

Prior to the suspensions of the WCOOP series, the top 3 of most successful countries looking at number of player wins were Brazil with 60 titles, the United Kingdom with 32 titles and Austria good for 23 wins.

Some of the most successful players this year so far are Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira with 4 titles, and Tobias “Senkel92” Leknes, Joao “Naza114” Vieira, and Rayan “Beriuzy” Chamas who have three WCOOP wins.
