Stateside rollout continues for bet365 as deal signed with Massachusetts’ Raynham Park

Following successful launches in two major betting states, bet365 has secured a foothold in a third jurisdiction.

The Stoke-on-Trent-headquartered international sportsbook group entered a partnership with Raynham Park Sportsbook this week, a Massachusetts enterprise.

Intending to operate under a Category 3 online gaming licence in the Northeastern state, bet365 and Raynham Park will cooperate on the launch of a mobile sports betting platform.

“bet365 are thrilled to partner with Raynham Park ahead of launching in Massachusetts in 2023,” a bet365 spokesperson said.

“With so many legendary sports franchises and dedicated fans based in the state, this was a natural fit for us as we continue our US expansion. We’re excited to work with the Carney family and look forward to delivering an unrivalled sports betting product to sports fans across the Bay State.” bet365 BOXXER

Raynham Park and bet365 share some similarities in their corporate history, having been founded as family businesses by Denise Coates (bet365) and the Carney family (Raynham) respectively.

Both are now pursuing expansion, internationally in the case of bet365 and regionally in the case of Raynham, the former having established offices in Malta and Gibraltar from its UK base whilst coordinating US operations from a New Jersey HQ.

This state is one of two in which the global giant has a presence as the stateside betting market boom continues following the repeal of PASPA in 2018, having also gained a licence in Colorado.

Meanwhile, Raynham Park – based in the town of Raynham, Massachusetts, 30 miles south of Boston – was founded as a greyhound track in 1940 before expanding its operations over the years to over 20 jurisdictions, and is targeting further growth in the 2020s.

“We are thrilled to partner with the world’s largest online sports betting company to offer this high-demand entertainment option to our customers,” said George Carney, Raynham Park Founder.

“This partnership is the next step in the evolution of Raynham Park as we move toward the opening of our sportsbook, which will be one of the largest in the United States and set a new standard for destination gaming in Massachusetts.”

The partnership marks bet365’s second market entry in as many weeks, following the launch of a sportsbook site in Ghana last Friday, marking the firm’s debut in Africa.
