GiG continues North America push with Ontario partnership

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has announced a partnership with an unnamed Ontario operator, described as an ‘established’ land-based firm.

The agreement will involve the provision of GiG’s platform, sportsbook and omnichannel solution to its new partner, and is expected to go live in the first half of 2023, with the contract due to be signed in the coming months.

Ben Clemes, GiG North America General Manager, said: “I am really excited to sign the head of terms with a land-based partner that has been successfully operating in the Ontario market for many decades.

“Their land-based presence gives GiG the opportunity to showcase the power of our proven OMNI solution alongside our full product catalogue including Casino, Sports and our Frontend solution.”

GiG has identified Ontario as a market with significant potential, citing H2 Gambling Data research suggesting that the province’s betting scene will yield €2bn in gross gaming revenue over the next three years.

The group further asserted that the region has become a popular destination for operators, boosting opportunities for B2B supplies, with GiG having launched two sites in the area whilst working on a third announced earlier this year.

A European firm with offices in London and Malta, GiG’s most recent confirmed deal was with Strike Gaming, a five-year partnership covering player account management (PAM), front-end and content management systems. The series of agreements closely follows the publication of the firm’s Q3 trading results, which saw revenue rise 35% year-on-year to €22.9m (Q3 2021: €16.9m).
