GREF and NAGRA Join Forces to Shape Regulatory Landscape

The Group of European Regulators for Gambling (GREF) and the North American Gambling Regulators Association (NAGRA) have established a ground-breaking agreement as a calculated step to promote global cooperation and information sharing. Through this partnership, almost one hundred regulatory bodies from North America and Europe will be able to share knowledge and insights that will improve regulatory procedures.

Joint Initiatives for Regulatory Excellence

Through combined meetings under this creative arrangement, GREF and NAGRA will provide a forum for close collaboration between their respective interest groups. The reciprocal support of each other’s yearly conferences is another aspect of the collaboration. Both organizations will also provide workshops on newly developing regulatory concerns so that members are prepared to deal with the changing gaming environment.

The Chair of GREF and the French regulator Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin, stressed the value of international cooperation in tackling the escalating issues associated with compulsive gambling. She stated, “With a global public increasingly concerned about the risks associated with excessive gambling, and with the expansion of gambling markets and innovations, exchange between regulators worldwide is crucial.” Falque-Pierrotin thinks that this partnership will make efforts to safeguard consumers stronger.

NAGRA President Ryan Winfield, representing the Arizona Department of Gaming, highlighted the importance of collaboration in navigating the dynamic gaming industry. He stated, “The power of partnership and collaboration between GREF and NAGRA is important in this ever-evolving industry. The changing landscape and the future of gaming make it imperative that we reach out to other organizations in the industry to remain informed as we tirelessly serve our communities.” Winfield emphasized the commitment to collaboration and communication for the benefit of global communities.

Through this partnership, government organizations that oversee gaming in North American markets, known as NAGRA, are positioned next to European gambling regulators, known as GREF. In response to the possibilities and problems faced by the global gambling industry, its combined goal is to support the ongoing development of efficient regulatory standards.
