Today’s thoughts

I realised that I just live at the wrong place. Every morning when I drive my daughter to school, we both suffer20141123_104903 from the pollution in the air. Often my daughter asks me to close the window due to the smell and fumes. With this heat, it makes you boil inside. On my way back home, I see most of Malta covered by a brown layer of cloud. When I think that I spend most of my time in this smog makes me feel sick. I would like to offer a better world for my daughter, where she can enjoy fresh air, fields, forests, rivers as I enjoyed when I grew up in Germany. I can’t even teach her riding a cycle here, it is too dangerous to drive around and she would need a gas mask (actually that is what I will do, I will buy one as sign of protest). At her age, I used to grab my cycle and leave our home to ride to the forest and zoom around. Here in Malta, we live in a car and concrete jungle…

Time to move….
